During the 24-year-old's upbeat mash-up of Hung Up and Gimme Gimme Gimme by Madonna and ABBA last night, he shouted: 'This one's for you Spraggan, I love you!'
Lucy was given a free pass through last weekend's show after being unable to perform due to ill health.
However, she was still unwell this weekend, and decided to exit the show.

She released a statement saying: 'I am gutted not to be able to continue on this journey but I'm not well enough to perform.
'To accept another free pass having missed last weekend would not be fair on the others in the competition. I wish them all well.
The talented songwriter thanked all her supporters and assured them that the setback would not halt her music career.

Her mentor Tulisa said that she is 'so sorry' to lose Spraggan from the competition, but said they are still in touch.
'I have had a brilliant time working with her and I hope I can continue to mentor her in the future,' she said.
'I now count her as a friend as she is an amazing girl.'
