Beyonce has revealed her directorial debut in a biopic about her life has shown her at her most 'scared'.
Capturing many very intimate moments, including home movies and the first signs of her baby bump, the 31-year-old revealed in a sneak preview of the film: 'I always battle with, "How much do I reveal about myself?" If I'm scared, be scared, allow it. Release it.'
As well as being Beyoncé's first outing behind the camera, it was also her baby, Blue Ivy Carter's, screen debut – albeit in the superstar's tummy – with the first-time mother chronicling her pregnancy long before the rest of the world even knew she was expecting.
Beyoncé also promises to show the trials she went through after the birth of her and husband Jay Z's first child, and how she then returned to the spotlight.
The film will air on HBO on February 16.
'Everybody knows Beyonce's music, but few know Beyonce the person,' said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming.
'Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.'
