Hugo Taylor has lashed out at I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! bosses after Charlie Brooks fatefully missed out on a chance to meet with her daughter in the jungle.
The Made In Chelsea star branded the show's producers 'sick', arguing that it was wrong of them to prevent Charlie from seeing seven-year-old Kiki.
Unbeknown to Charlie, she missed out on an opportunity to reunite with her little girl in camp after she was asked to pick from a number of multicoloured doors which each had a 'treat' hidden behind it.
Charlie eventually walked away empty handed after choosing the blue door but was devastated to learn that her fellow campmates Rosemary Shrager and David Haye won a cuddle with their loved ones after choosing the yellow door.
Hugo, who lasted 17 days in the jungle, said: 'That trial was harrowing for Charlie. She was heartbroken. This year has been far harder on us than other years.
'At points I really thought, "Are they having a laugh? Which sick b*****d is coming up with all these ideas?
'The thing you could tell about Charlie from day one is that she is a wonderful mother. I've never met anyone so involved in her daughter's life.
'She found it so hard when she realised she could have seen her. That was one of the hardest things to watch - seeing how harrowing it was for her to be detached from her daughter. It was very emotional.'
But the posh 26-year-old reckons the EastEnders actress dealt with the ordeal as best she could.
He added: 'It was very tough for her day-to-day to be away from her daughter. I can't imagine how tough it would have been for her. She was tough, though. If she was having a wobble and a cry, she would suck it up immediately.'
Last night Ant and Dec revealed Charlie had made it the final alongside former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts after seeing off competition from boxing champ David Haye, who finished in third place.
The queen of the jungle will be crowned tonight when the show kicks off tonight at 9.30pm on ITV1.
