Modern Family star Sofía Vergara thanks her eye-watering attraction for opening the doors of Hollywood.

The Columbian TV siren says she lives in a very modern family of her own and whilst her son's college mates may strongly disagree, her 20-year-old lad Manolo doesn't get mum's 'MILF' status.

The free-spirited Modern Family actress, aka Gloria Pritchett, says she'll never apologise for using her beauty to become Hollywood's top earning female star last year.

'I don't feel the need to apologise for my looks – I always took advantage of them and the doors they opened for me. Likewise, I never felt I had to prove my intelligence or how business-minded I am,' she readily admits.

And she's fully aware her days in the sun could be numbered.

'Look, I'm 40 years old and have been in the entertainment world for 23 years. I know there's always someone younger and prettier on the horizon, so if you don't have anything to fall back on, you're long gone,' she told Glamour magazine.

The single mum is a regular in sexiest women polls but she says her boy, from a short marriage in her twenties, only sees mum's rough side.

'We're very close because I got divorced (from childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez) when he was just one, so it's been the two of us,' she said.

Vergara doesn't buy into mum being a sex symbol status.

'Oh please, it's not like I'm cleaning the house in a teddy, you know? To him, I'm just normal. He thinks I'm crazy and annoying, like every other mum,' she said.

'Six months ago there was this internet story saying I was the third most beautiful woman, behind Mila Kunis and someone else who is, like 20 years younger than me. Then the next day, I'd just woken up – not looking my best, because I'd had a few drinks the night before – and he starts calling my boyfriend, going, "Hey, come take a look at the third most beautiful woman in the world!"'

Jessie J has ditched the spiky lips, liquorice bob and leotards after discovering her feminine side.

Explaining her shock transformation, The Voice judge said she is embarking on an exploration of her sexuality and confessed she only ever did it like a dude to bag our attention.

'That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago,' she told Elle magazine.

'Now, I'm definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine.'

Revealing the motivation behind her girlie turn, the reformed tomboy said: 'I've always wanted to look like this, but it didn't grab people's attention. And in the beginning you've always got to do something that's going to make people go, "Who's that?"'

The star also complained her admission that she's done both dudes and girls, left her in a sexual pigeonhole. It hasn't stopped the 24-year-old looking for a new lover after she explained: 'It's one of those things where the media labelled me. Sexuality shouldn't define anyone. It doesn't define me. Love should be at the core of what you do. I'm only interested in finding love now.'

The star says she struggles with being the talk of the town and as a result has backed away from Twitter.

However, she says the heat of her spotlight is nothing compared to the Duchess of Cambridge's world.

After sampling Kate's life, she said: 'After the jubilee concert, there was an after-party... Me and Ed [Sheeran] were just hanging out. Will was there. And Kate. I feel so sorry sometimes for Kate. The pressure she's under.'

As for herself, Jessie says she can't help taking criticism to heart. 'Especially after the Olympics,' she said. 'More people go on Twitter to say they didn't like it, to make a point of that.'

The 23-year-old burst into tears upon learning from Nicole Scherzinger that he had made it through to the live shows, and continued crying for several minutes - leaving the massed ranks of the microblogging site amused and bemused in equal measure.

And his name was tweeting within minutes of the clip being screened, with users quick to poke fun at the model's response.

'I want Rylan to win just because his reaction would be priceless,' said one tweeter, while another added, 'Just ate so much, but then laughed so hard at Rylan's reaction to getting through I definitely burned it all off.'

Another user joked, 'I'm guessing we all look like Rylan when we remember its monday tomorrow,' while someone else admitted, 'It's funny because I actually cry like Rylan.'

But not everybody was amused, with many criticising Nicole's decision to put Rylan through to the live shows over such other contestants as Jake Quickenden and Nathan Fagan-Gayle.

'It's a joke Rylan went through, meant to be a singing competition' said one angry viewer. Another stated, They needed another Johnny or Wagner,' while another user said, 'Still confused as to why nicole put Rylan through and not Nathan.'

A fellow tweeter, meanwhile, summed up the thoughts of many when they said, 'They only put Rylan through so there was someone for everyone to hate.'

The pair looked loved-up as they wrapped their arms around each other, giggling and not appearing to mind who saw them.

Although an unlikely couple, this news doesn't come as too much of a surprise seeing as they were spotted enjoying a cosy night out together in London last week.

After her debut in the play on Wednesday night, the pair headed off to enjoy a few drinks at Soho's private Groucho Club.

The later headed onto Gerry's club at around 3am and were spotted outside enjoying a cigarette each at around 4am, according to reports.

They were then apparently seen getting a taxi home together at around 5am.

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps star Sheridan previously dated her Gavin and Stacey on-screen brother James Corden. Traviss dated tragic singer Winehouse at the time of her death from alcohol poisoning in July 2011.

He has recently been in the news after he was arrested in April before being charged with raping a woman on New Year's Eve last year. He has denied it and faces trial in December.

The former Neighbours star exchanged vows with Nick in Beverly Hills in an outdoor ceremony in front of famous guests including music mogul Simon Cowell, as well as friends and family from across the world.

The bride, 29, wore an extravagant white gown with full, meringue style skirt resembling feathers and a bodice like top.

She topped it off with an exaggerated lace veil in a vintage style which also acted as a train, and carried a dramatic dark red bouquet.

It was recently reported that the loaded couple would be stretching out their nuptials across three days.

The duo, who affectionately referred to themselves as 'Valandy' on their wedding invites, reportedly hosted a rehearsal dinner in Malibu on Friday and organised an informal 'recovery' barbeque for yesterday (Sunday).

Candy, 38, popped the question during a romantic Christmas break in the Indian Ocean back at Christmas.

Holly tweeted the big moment showing Candy down on one knee with the words 'Will you marry me' lit up in flames.

Despite marrying into a bottomless bank account, the actress wants to stay a self-made woman and said she almost dumped the tycoon when they first started dating for being too rich.

The 29-year-old said: '(When we first started dating) I rang my mum and said "I don't think I can do this because it's just too much." 'And she said "You can't hold that against the man."'

'The wealth and the lifestyle were overwhelming initially. I was used to razzle dazzle and meeting lots of famous people, but I wasn't used to super-yachts and private jets. It was like "Wow!" I am a spoilt brat.'

She told Metro last year: 'All I have done since 2003 is act. Still paying the mortgage so, until that is done I'm good (doing it).'

David Walliams has revealed he spent time at The Priory clinic as he battled a serious bout of depression.

The Little Britain star appears to have a hugely-rewarding life, with a successful career and supermodel wife, but he has also endured some terrifying experiences.

In his new autobiography, Camp David, the 41-year-old details the black moods and acute anxiety he has suffered from during an on-off fight with depression.

His problems came to a head during the filming of Cruise of the Gods, shortly before Little Britain propelled him to fame.

In an extract from his book published by the Sun, Walliams said: 'I was shaking. It was like I was having a nervous breakdown or going mad or both.'

He spent a week receiving treatment in The Priory, before going to stay with the comedian Rob Brydon.

Walliams also detailed some of the symptoms of the condition, which he explained were at their worst in the early hours of the morning.

'It's dark outside - there isn't even the sound of the birds to keep you company,' he wrote.

'So I would lie there until the curtain edges grew light and the room took shape.

'It was not just the terrible elemental sadness I felt, but fear. Fear of death, fear of life, fear of love, fear of everything. This went on for six months.'

The book, in which he also reveals he had 'gay experiences' as a child, is out on October 11th.

Tulisa Contostavlos has become embroiled in a favouritism row after it emerged she is friends with X Factor hopeful Nathan Fagan-Gayle.

The 25-year-old has reached the judges' houses stage of the show, but is not new to the music industry, having had a couple of minor hits under the guise Starboy Nathan.

His previous shot at stardom included a support slot on an N-Dubz tour, and it has been claimed he struck up a close friendship with Tulisa at that time.

An X Factor source told the Daily Star Sunday: 'It's shocking to think someone who has worked alongside one of the judges is allowed to compete.

'It hasn't been mentioned on the show that they even know each other.'

The insider added: 'Other singers who weren't given the chance to sing at judges' houses will be left pretty fed up.

'A lot of people will be wondering if Nathan was guaranteed to go through just because he has got Tulisa on his side.'

However, producers denied Nathan had been given special treatment and pointed out Tulisa admitted she knew him before he performed at the audition stage.

An X Factor spokesman said: 'The other three judges voted first and gave him a yes, so he would have gone through regardless of Tulisa's final vote.'

Viewers saw Nathan perform Ne-Yo's hit Beautiful Monster at the judges' houses stage last night.

They will find out whether Nicole Scherzinger selects him for the live finals when the second part is aired on ITV1 at 7.40pm tonight.

The X Factor's Jake Quickenden has revealed he felt 'emotional' watching the judges' houses show, as he thanked fans for their support following the death of his brother last month.

On last night's show viewers saw the 24-year-old become tearful on camera after revealing that he had received a phone call from home saying that the condition of his younger brother, suffering from bone cancer, had deteriorated.

In Dubai to impress judge Nicole Scherzinger and Ne-Yo, Jake admitted he hoped to make it through to the live shows to give brother Oliver, 19, 'something to live for'.

He went on to sing Take That's Back For Good but Ne-Yo admitted Jake's falsetto wasn't as strong as it could be, while Nicole added: 'He has a really nice tone, I just don't know if he's ready.'

While viewers will have to wait until tonight to see if he makes it through to the live shows, yesterday fans inundated Jake with support online.

Oliver died just a few days after Jake arrived back from Dubai last month, with the singer admitting before the show aired that it would be 'tough to watch'.

He wrote on Twitter: 'Heard the show is very emotional 2nite I still had my little brother with me wen I was there so gonna be tough to watch! Hope you all enjoyx'

While the show was on he confessed his performance was less than impressive, but defended his decision to discuss his brother on the show.

He explained: 'Yeh so I sing this s**t not gonna lie proper full blown s***e!!! Ha oh well we all do bad sometimes x

'I never wanted to go in with a sob story but when s**t is happening its hard not to let it hurt you and get to you!! X

X Factor judge Gary Barlow was among those to offer support online, telling Jake he was 'sending love to you and your family.'

This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield also got in touch to send his love, saying he was 'terribly sorry'.

After the show aired Jake thanked everyone for their support, writing: 'Am gonna go get s**t faced now! That was emotional and thanks to all your lovely messages I really appreciate it so much xx'

Fans will be able to see if Jake makes it through to the live shows in the second part of the judges' houses stage, which airs on ITV1 tonight at 7.40pm.

The pair, who have been together since November 2008, married in a romantic ceremony in Big Sur, California yesterday.

Rumours emerged last week that they were set to tie the knot this weekend, despite Anne, 29, previously hinting it would be next year.

The couple apparently sought help from Natalie Portman's wedding planner for their big day, which they wanted to be a traditional Jewish ceremony, just like when Portman married Benjamin Millipied at Big Sur earlier this year too.

The happy couple said their vows in front of a crowd of 100 close friends and family.

They had a rehearsal dinner the night before at the Ventana Inn and Spa before guests were collected by minibus on the morning of the wedding to be taken up to the private home where the nuptials were held.

The newlyweds later posed for photographs, looking excited as they kissed and cuddled with the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop.

The Dark Knight Rises actress looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder Valentino dress which was teamed with a statement veil and white shoes.

Anne had originally claimed the wedding wouldn't be taking place until 2013 because of her work commitments with The Dark Knight Rises and Les Miserables.

She told Hello magazine: 'We're getting married, probably sometime next year-ish. Not this year, it's too big with two films coming out.

One Direction star Liam Payne took Leona Lewis out on a date just a few days after splitting up with his long term girlfriend.

The 19-year-old reportedly took the X Factor winner out on two nights out last week with a source saying this could mark the start of a 'blossoming romance' between the pair.

Liam has always had a crush on Leona, last year describing her a 'beautiful' in an interview, and admitting: 'I have liked her ever since she did the X Factor all of those years ago'.

Despite the fact he broke up with his girlfriend of two years Danielle Peazer just a fortnight ago, the One Direction star is 'really excited about how things are going with Leona,' according to an insider.

'As soon as the chance came to ask her out he grabbed it – and they really enjoyed their dates together,' the source told the Sunday Mirror.

'Although they were in London they managed to stay out of the limelight and are really into each other.'

The two pop stars were already known to be firm friends, with Leona revealing she gave One Direction some career advice earlier this year.

However, at the time the Bleeding Love singer, dismissed any romantic rumours with Liam due to the eight year age gap.

She said: 'He's sweet, but they're, like, two.'

Liam Hemsworth is said to have become frustrated with Miley Cyrus's childish attitude after the pop star declared her love for him on Twitter.

The Hunger Games actor has reportedly begged his beau to stop tweeting her feelings to her nine million followers, after yet another emotional outburst from the star on the microblogging site.

She posted: 'Why do I torture myself and what ps I love you. ahhhhhh. I have got to pull it together.'

This is not believed to be the first time Liam has accused his fiance of oversharing on the site, with a source recently telling Star magazine that another tweet by the singer came as a 'huge insult' to him.

Miley asked her followers: 'Ever feel like you want just ... something more. Not sure what exactly ... passion perhaps?' on September 13.'

She later added: 'no there is not trouble in paradise ... just thoughts.'

According to the publication, the insider explained: She tried to pass it off like it had nothing to do with him, but it totally affected him, no matter what she tries to say.

'She was trying to get his attention, but she just ended up making him pull away from her more.'

'He thinks she's acting like an immature schoolgirl, and he wants her to get off Twitter completely.'

David Walliams, who endured years of speculation about his sexuality, has now admitted he had 'gay experiences' as a child.

The Little Britain star finally ended the rumours when he married Dutch model Lara Stone in 2010.

However, his forthcoming autobiography, Camp David, will reveal he had some doubts about his sexuality when he was young.

Walliams told the Sun: 'I guess I'm just very honest about my sexuality. I had gay experiences as a child and remember being very confused about that.'

He added: 'I'm glad I talked honestly about my childhood sexual awakening because I think there's plenty of other people out there who will be reading it and say, "That's quite normal, that happened to me. It confused me too".'

Walliams also admitted he had not been bothered by the speculation about his private life, as he could understand why some people may have thought he was gay.

'I know there is fascination with me because I'm camp, yet over the years I've been connected to some very beautiful women,' he said.

'I've married a supermodel yet there I am on Britain's Got Talent with Simon Cowell, camping it up.'

The book, which will be released on October 11th, also details his difficult relationship with his father and the tensions with his Little Britain co-star Matt Lucas.

Walliams is not expecting it to top the best-seller list, as Cheryl Cole's life story is set to be published around the same time.

'If only I'd married Ashley Cole, I too could have a big-selling book,' he joked.

And producers on each are allegedly prepared to lay down a fair whack to secure her.

Although Katrina - whose grandmother is sister to Kate's great grandfather - has never met the Duchess of Cambridge, she's happy to cash in on their royal connection.

Needless to say Kate, 30, will be less than impressed with the news.

When the naked photos of Harry emerged, Katrina giggled: 'Well he is only human and living a life most can only dream of.'

I'm A Celeb returns in November and CBB returns in January.
