Jessie J has revealed producers have changed the schedule for season two of The Voice UK to ensure she can take part.

The Price Tag singer had expressed a desire to return to the BBC's X Factor rival, but the dates clashed with her arena tour.

BBC bosses were determined not to lose her, despite the poor ratings for the first series, and agreed to rethink their plans.

During an interview on Channel 4's Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Jessie explained she originally decided to prioritise her tour ahead of the talent show.

She said: 'I was really gutted, so I called the head of the BBC and said "Can we talk about this? I don't feel right".

'I didn't want to miss out, so I sat with them and we looked at the dates and we jigged things around and I was then able to do it.'

Jessie also revealed that watching reruns of The Voice had made her rethink her image.

'I learned a lot about myself. Watching myself back, I am a bit irritating sometimes,' she admitted.

'The fringe decided to retire, too. I looked at a picture of myself and was like, "You look a bit scary". I was becoming a bit of a cartoon.'

Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue have previously revealed they are all keen to return as coaches for season two of The Voice.
