Nick Grimshaw: I can't stop dreaming about hosting new Radio 1 show

New Radio 1 breakfast host Nick Grimshaw has said he keeps having 'nice dreams' about his new job.

The 28-year-old will present his first breakfast show on Monday, after Chris Moyles, who has served eight years in the presenting slot, stepped down last week.

However, far from being anxious about filling Moyles' shoes, Nick told the Radio Times he keeps dreaming about the new show.

He said:  'It was a little daunting to begin with, but now I'm just excited. I'm actually dreaming about it - and nice dreams, too.

'The other night I dreamt that Rihanna was doing the weather. Everyone was asking why she was doing the weather and I was like "Why wouldn't she be?"'

Grimmy, who is more used to presenting in the evening, said that he is not too worried about the early starts either.

'I do find it easy to get up in the morning and my brain functions better', he said.

'So I think I should be OK if I'm getting up at half five after going to bed at ten.'

The radio presenter is famous for his plethora of celeb pals, and they have stepped out in force to support his new venture.

Cheryl Cole, Rita Ora and Professor Green have all taken part in a promotion for the new show, with One Direction's Harry Styles styling his hair in a Grimshaw-eqsue quiff to show his support.
