But despite admitting she's nervous about being up for a gong on her own, Tulisa was more than nonchalant about being up against her close pal Jessie.
When asked of the rivalry at the nominations party, held in London's Floridita nightclub last night, she simply replied: 'What about it?'
But of being acknowledged for her solo work, which saw her secure a debut number one single with Young, she admitted she is a little scared.
'It feels amazing. But pretty scary,' she explained. 'It feels strange knowing all the past years I've been here it's been with N-Dubz, so it's a weird experience.'
Emeli Sande and Plan B received the most nominations, scoring five each, and were closely followed by Rita Ora and Labrinth who were both awarded four nods each.
Ed Sheeran is in the running for three awards, while Conor Maynard, who will also be taking to the stage for his debut Mobo performance, could also win Best Newcomer.
Meanwhile, although she is no longer with N-Dubz, her former bandmate and ex-boyfriend Fazer was at the nominations party last night too.
Luckily, the X Factor judge insisted there was no awkwardness between the pair.
'Fazer's my family, of course I'm going to bump into him. It just feels the same as before.
'As most people will know, me and Fazer were seeing each other on and off since we were kids, so even while we were in N-Dubz before we were together, it's still like that.'
And he too agreed there is no animosity, adding: 'It's not even competitive, we all want each other to be prosperous, we all want each other to do well.'
