Usher claims to have been cheated out of a blockbuster duet with Amy Winehouse when she died.
Speaking exclusively to Metro before he opened the iTunes Festival in London, the OMG singer said: 'I've not really collaborated with any British women but the one person I wanted to is not here any more... Amy Winehouse.'
Revealing the pair's secret plan to collaborate before her death last summer, Usher said: 'Amy was just timeless and classic.
'She and I met at Selfridges, believe it or not. It was very bizarre.
'We exchanged information, she invited me to a show and we were just in the process of talking about a collaboration but unfortunately, we didn't get to do it.'
Heaping praise on our icon, the 33-year-old said: 'Her time came too soon. I think she is, and was, an incredible talent and her voice speaks for what I am saying. I don't think there will ever be another voice like that.'
The US superstar also took time out to defend Prince Harry's butt-naked antics in Las Vegas last month.
'I think it's odd people don't realise we are all human,' he said. 'Anybody can speculate and say what they think is right or wrong.
'I don't know what went on, but I can definitely speak from the position of having every step analysed. What I will say is that Harry is young and he should still be able to go out and have fun.
He should still be able to have a life.'
Usher hailed our young royals for winning over the world during their Olympics appearances.
But he revealed that another Brit mob's performance had inspired his set – Coldplay.
After watching the iTunes Festival online last year, Usher said: 'Coldplay's performance gave me a great idea of how I wanted my show to be.
'I'm really happy to be able to have it at such a special time during the Paralympics.'
Usher was handed the opening night honours for the month-long festival, which will see 60 acts take to the stage at Camden's Roundhouse, including Muse, The Killers and Lana Del Rey.
