Tammy Cartwright, who quit The X Factor to look after her brother, has spoken about his drug problem and admitted that she thinks she's the only person who can deal with him properly.
Tammy wowed judges and viewers alike with her audition, in which she belted out Jennifer Hudson's One Night Only, but then opted to leave The X Factor at the boot camp stages so she could look after her brother.
Now the singing hopeful has discussed her decision to quit the competition, saying of her brother: 'He takes up a lot of my time, mentally.
'I'm just constantly worried about him... [at Boot Camp] he had a lapse and I just started panicking.
'For me to continue and be happy enough to continue, he would have to have been clean. [My brother is] like my child... I'm the only person that can control him and I'm the only person who can get through to him.
'And in a way me walking off that show wasn't just because my brother's on drugs, it wasn't about that. It was me panicking about everything, [like] not being in control of the competition... which made it really difficult for me to focus.'
Speaking to Digital Spy, Tammy also said she would like to return to the show next year and joked that she could make her comeback with her grandmother in tow, after the pensioner made quite an impression on the programme this year.
'You might get her to audition,' she said. 'If Dermot [O'Leary] rung her up I think she'd definitely do it. She fell in love with him.'
