Melanie Sykes has announced her engagement to toyboy Jack Cockings, who she met on Twitter, after just three months together.

The 42-year-old told her Twitter followers that she is to wed the roofer, aged 26, after first meeting him over the micro-blogging site in April.
Mel tweeted: 'To my beautiful twitter friends just want to let you know that me & Jack @bespokespartan are engaged to be married and we are very giddy xxx.'
After half an hour she added: 'Your messages of congratulations have made me cry in a gorgeous lovely way. Thank you so much peeps. I love you xxxxx.'

In one awkward post, Melanie wrote that she had 'the giddiest knickers of my life,' and told her toyboy: 'I've got the raging horn, please take me'.
Another saw her write: 'Jack the rabbit I need some bunny love so hop to it!! Xxx boing boing!!! Loooooool xxxxxxx'.
After the embarrassing incident, Sykes defended the tweets, telling the Daily Mail: 'I don't even consider the people who follow me on Twitter as fans. They're friends, my community. It was just giddiness, banter; silly fun.'
She did admit, however: 'I just got a bit carried away'.
