Katy Perry channelled her inner Geri Halliwell with ginger locks on the cover of L'Officiel Paris.

The singer has dyed her hair almost every colour under the sun, and has now done it yet again for the French magazine shoot.

A picture from the upcoming September issue has been released on the same day that rumours surfaced of a possible tryst between her ex-husband Russell Brand and Ginger Spice, perhaps signifying why Katy chose to experiment with her hair tone.

The 27-year-old looked almost unrecognisable with the flaming orange tresses and porcelain skin, decorated with bold blusher.

Her Little Mermaid-esque shoot was photographed by Cuneyt Akeroglu, who offset the fiery colour of Katy's hair with a peach Louis Vuitton dress.

While she has yet to be seen in public with her red hair, the Part of Me singer may have dyed it following her recent break up with ladies man John Mayer.

Katy did a similar thing after breaking up with comedian Russell Brand, dyeing her dark locks bright blue, before changing to blonde and purple shades.

After reportedly splitting up from lothario John, she has since chopped off her trademark long hair, in favour of a shorter cut.
