The Wide Awake singer has rejected a mega-bucks offer to follow in the footsteps of Mimi, J-Lo and Britney to become a talent show judge.
'She was being hotly pursued,' a source said. 'They really wanted her.'
According to insiders, the former Mrs Brand didn't feel it was the right career move for her.
Last month the 27-year-old revealed: 'People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it's not right for me yet.'
The show is looking for replacements for Lopez and Steve Tyler.
Nicki Minaj was said to be in the running but Mariah Carey allegedly wants to be the only famous diva on the show and is angling for rock star Lenny Kravitz to join instead.
