He might be playing Noah but Russell Crowe had to be picked up at sea after losing his way in a kayak.
The Oscar-winning actor probably wished he'd stayed on the Ark when he and a friend ran into trouble off New York's Long Island.
They called out to a coastguard patrol boat which took them to shore after four-and-a-half hours on the water.
Crowe, who is in the US filming the Biblical epic, sent a Twitter message thanking the US Coast Guard.
Officer Robert Swieciki said the 48-year-old Master And Commander star, who was 'grateful and friendly', was wearing a life vest and seemed to be an experienced kayaker.
'He just needed a little bit of help, he just got a little lost,' said Mr Swieciki.
'It wasn't really a rescue, really, more of just giving someone a lift.'
The pair became disorientated as night fell over Huntington harbour.
Crowe's tweet said: 'Thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way... 4hrs 30mins.'
Noah also stars Emma Watson and Ray Winstone and is due for release in March.
