Tom Cruise's people have denied that the actor held auditions to find himself a wife before getting together with Katie Holmes.
Cruise's representative have slammed rumours that they were auditioning women who believe in Scientology to become the Mission Impossible star's next wife.
The statement comes after sources reported that Tom had been seeing a woman called Nazanin Boniadi after she passed the Church of Scientology's audition process.
She was allegedly chosen because she revealed 'her innermost secrets and every detail of her sex life' to a Scientology official in a process said to have lasted a month.
The article featured in next month's Vanity Fair goes on to say that if Cruise was unhappy with anything Boniadi said or did then he would report her to Scientology official.
Now Tom Cruise's camp have slammed the article as completely untrue, telling showbiz website Gossip Cop: 'Lies in a different font are still lies – designed to sell magazines.'
Katie Holmes ended her marriage to Cruise in July of this year. The 50-year-old is set to pay Holmes £21,000 a month in child support until their young daughter Suri, six, turns 18.
The Minority Report star doesn't seem to be on the lookout for a new wife at the moment though, as he was snapped enjoying the company of young women while on holiday in Croatia recently. He was also seen talking closely with a rather attractive blonde.
