Emma Watson has moved to defend herself after she was spotted walking a dyed pink dog.
It looked as if it was one of her magic spells in Harry Potter gone terribly wrong.
Former wizard Emma Watson was spotted out walking a tiny puppy that had clearly been dyed a candy-coloured pink.
The 22-year-old was spotted with the now-pink Maltese terrier in Bethnal Green, east London.
Reports originally claimed she had dyed the pet, who goes by the name of Darcy herself.
The images left animal-lovers far from tickled pink though and TV vet Emma Milne insisted: 'Dogs are not playthings; they are not dolls.'
But it now emerges that the little pup doesn't even belong to her but was in fact a friend's pet who dyed it the bright colour in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research.
Emma took to her Twitter account to clear up the confusion.
She wrote: '@PinkDarcyDog is pink because her owner is raising money for breast cancer. I wish Darcy was my dog but she isn't. Was just walking her.'
And she later added: 'Just to clarify one more time that I don't have a dog. #factcheckingtakesfiveminutes.'
