They split seven months ago but it seems Matt Smith and Daisy Lowe are on course to rekindle their romance after they were spotted getting close at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend.

The pair dated for 18 months before calling time on their relationship due to hectic work schedules.

But while enjoying music from the likes of Jay-Z, Rita Ora and Wretch 32 on the Saturday of the free festival, the pair appeared to step back in time as they got rather cosy among fellow festival-goers.

According to The Sun, the pair were seen cuddling a lot backstage and Matt, 29, was even seen cheekily groping Daisy's bottom.

An onlooker said: 'Matt was trying to disguise himself by wearing his hood up as he hobnobbed backstage.

'But when Daisy came over he didn't seem to care who was watching. His eyes just lit up and they were locked into deep conversation — hugging each other all the time.

'At one point he gave her bum a big squeeze. If they're not together any more then they have a funny way of showing it.'

This isn't the first time reports have emerged that the pair are back on track after splitting last year.

They were seen leaving Daisy's London flat a month after their break-up and they have also been seen leaving Matt's London pad this year.

In addition, Matt was even apparently a guest at Daisy's 23rd birthday dinner in January.

If Daisy and Matt are back together it will be the second time the pair have reunited – the couple originally split in May last year before reconciling in July.
