Miley Cyrus has been surprised by the amount of abuse she received on Twitter after revealing her latest hairdo.
The 19-year-old showcased the whole process of her new undercut on the website, posting images of herself with Hollywood hairdresser Chris McMillan about to chop her locks off.
McMillan was the creator of Jennifer Aniston's infamous 'Rachel' haircut from her Friends days, which was copied all over the world.
Miley was delighted with the outcome and tweeted: 'most successful Sally day EVER! I feel pretty ohhhh so pretty and gayyyy.. bliss :)'.
It's safe to say that her new style was not well received by her fans, with some describing it as 'atrocious' and urging her to fire her stylist.
She wrote: 'if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)'
And to reinforce the fact she was paying little attention to the Twitter trolls, she added: 'Feeling so happy in my skin. Never felt more me in my whole life.'
The 19-year-old, who is engaged to The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, also posted some advice from her famous father Billy Ray, who clearly supports her new do.
She tweeted: 'my dad @billyraycyrus used to tell me "opinions are like ass holes every body has one" LOVE my hair. Feel so happy, pretty, and free.'
