Katy Perry hit an unfortunate bum note as she splashed about in a water park, flashing her white bits for all to see.

As Katy took to a ride in Raging Waters in San Dimas, she appeared to forget she was wearing a skimpy bikini as she did so.

Enjoying a day off with pals, Katy got right into the thick of it, clutching onto a board as she went head-first down one of the slides at the park.

But when she emerged from the water at the other end, her bikini bottoms had managed to head south leaving a little too much flesh on show.

Luckily a pal was on hand to cover her modesty and help secure her two-piece again.

But the Teenage Dream singer didn't seem at all phased by the wardrobe mishap and had another go on the ride as fans cheered her on from the sidelines.

It was little surprise she didn't mind the blunder as her body was well toned and in top shape.

The smile on 27-year-old Katy's face was probably put there because of a certain US musician she has been romantically linked with.

Perry and John Mayer, 34, have been spotted a number of times in recent weeks enjoying dates and late-night car rides.

And last night was no different as after Katy's fun-packed weekend at the California water park, her and Mayer were seen leaving a friend's house party in Los Feliz together looking rather loved-up.
