The torch-bearing footballer says he can count on Prince William and Harry as his mates these days.

They're so close, the former Manchester United star says he can even rip into William's Brummie football allegiance.

Forced to watch Team GB from the sidelines with Wills this week, Becks revealed: 'It's a very normal relationship, with Harry as well. They're very easy to get along with. They love their sport. William loves Aston Villa, unfortunately, which obviously I give him a bit of stick about.'

Meanwhile, the national treasure says what you see is what you get with him, even when he's stripped down to his kecks.

'What you see, that's me,' he told Esquire magazine. 'And that won't change. I might not walk around in just my underwear every day, but that's the only thing. I don't try and hide anything. There's nothing to hide.'

Posing in his pants does have some downsides, though.

'When I was in New York, seeing a huge poster [of himself in a pair of briefs] on the side of a building, that was quite daunting.'

He recalled: 'I remember driving past there, and stopping and running out and taking a picture, and this guy walked past me and he was like, "Oh, my God! Have you seen your d*** up there?" Something disgusting like that. That was funny.'
