Comedian Russell Brand will reportedly face charges over an incident earlier this year in which he threw a photographer's iPhone through a window.
According to the US website TMZ, the New Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office has filed one charge of misdemeanour criminal damage to property against Brand - adding that he will be formally charged today.
The incident occurred on March 12 this year when Katy Perry's 37-year-old ex-husband snatched the phone from snapper Timothy Jackson as he was allegedly trying to take his photo, and threw it through the window of a nearby office.
Jackson later filed criminal damage charges against Brand, with New Orleans authorities subsequently issuing a warrant for his arrest.
The funnyman eventually turned himself in to police on March 15.
He was later freed on $5,000 bail and turned to Twitter to justify his actions - saying he had done it as a tribute to late Apple founder Steve Jobs.
'Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently,' he said. 'What I did was a tribute to his memory.'
It is reported that Brand - who was most recently seen on screen in the musical Rock Of Ages - could face up to six months in prison if he is convicted of any charges.
