Liberty Ross appears to have sent a veiled dig to Kristen Stewart after it was reported the Twilight actress had an affair with her director husband Rupert Sanders.
Kristen's fling with Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert emerged on Wednesday and was confirmed when the 22-year-old issued a grovelling apology to boyfriend Robert Pattinson just hours after rumours broke.
But while British model Ross, who has two children with Sanders, appears to have kept a dignified silence since her husband's infidelity emerged, some messages posted on a Twitter account believed to belong to her, suggest otherwise.
A picture posted by a user called libertyross shows a cartoon image of Snow White slumped on the forest floor, with tears rolling down her cheeks, as she swigs from what looks like a beer bottle.
The image is accompanied with the caption: 'Not so pretty or so pure after all …..'.
This cryptic post, which seems to be in reference to Stewart's title role in the film, is undoubtedly meant as a dig at the US actress for her fling with Sanders.
The last tweet from user libertyross was simply 'Wow', before it was later deleted.
Ross played Stewart's mother Queen Eleanor in Snow White And The Huntsman and had previously championed her on-screen daughter's acting ability.
As well as claiming Kristen was her 'number one choice' for the role, she told reporters Kristen has 'something very transfixing about her'.
It has been reported the Twilight star, who plays Bella Swan in the movie franchise, is now penning a letter to Ross to apologise for her affair and ask for forgiveness.
Meanwhile, it seems a 'devastated and deeply hurt' R-Pattz has moved out of the couple's LA love nest.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: 'Not only has he left the house they share but he is leaving the situation all together cold turkey to have time to himself and deal with it on his own terms.
'He currently wants to be as far from Kristen symbolically and physically right now while he deals with what has happened.'
Kristen issued a public apology to her boyfriend and co-star R-Pattz on Wednesday.
It read: 'I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused. 'This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.'
Sanders issued an apology too, asking his family for forgiveness so they could move on.
'I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family,' his statement read. 'My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.'
