Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton has joined pop star Cheryl Cole in voicing his support of singer Chris Brown, telling his Twitter followers that he 'admires' him.

Lewis, who has recently been in Cannes with the Turn Up The Music singer to shoot a music video, took to Twitter saying that he listens to Brown's music before he races.
Hamilton wrote: 'Shout out to my boy chris breezy @chrisbrown, incredible talent! Listen to his music before races...helps me get in the zone.'
When his fans began to take issue with his comment, Lewis then defended Brown - adding that it is perfectly fine to like an artist's music despite their past wrongdoings.

'We can admire someone's work regardless of their actions or traits. But I really am referring to great music that's all,' he mused.
The racer then went on to say: 'To stand & take responsibility for ones actions is key to growing. I hope that through all our mistakes, through perseverance we can succeed.'
Earlier this year, Cheryl revealed that she was part of 'Team Chris' as she told In:Demand With Alex James that she agreed with Rihanna's decision to forgive Brown for assaulting her.

Saying the Umbrella singer had been 'really kind', Cheryl added: 'She's come out and publicly forgiven him really. I think it's about time we all did if I'm completely honest, if you want my opinion.'
Brown responded to the comments by tweeting Cheryl: 'Your amazing! I appreciate you. [sic]'
He later deleted the tweet, but re-posted: 'Thanks for the support and believing in me as an artist!'
