Robert Pattinson has broken his silence on matters surrounding his personal life, admitting the rumours get so ridiculous, he often has his mum on the phone asking if they're true.
Twilight star R-Pattz has been linked with co-star Kristen Stewart since they started filming the movie franchise back in 2008.
Until now, the actor, who plays Edward Cullen in the films, has remained incredibly tight-lipped about his love life.
However, in a recent interview, the 26-year-old opens up and admits that the rumours sometimes get so bad, even his family are left wondering what is fact and what is fiction.
'There was this magazine, with these pictures, saying I was getting married. No one ever knows what is true or what isn't,' R-Pattz said. 'Even my own mum called to ask me if it was true.'
Until recently, speculation has been rife about his relationship with Kristen, 22, who plays Bella Swan in the vampire flicks.
But at a Cannes after-party in May, they appeared to finally confirm the rumours when they were spotted kissing on a very public balcony.
Speaking to BlackBook magazine, Robert admitted he also has to be careful what he says in case it gets twisted in the press, creating more rumours.
He continued: 'You try to say things in the perfect way but you know unless you say something stupid, from which people will make you look like a d**k, you're not going to have soundbites.
'And if you don't say anything stupid, someone's going to make something up anyways.'
Robert's openness is certainly a first as only last year he vowed he'd keep his private life private, claiming he would never talk about his relationship wit Stewart.
He said: 'My private life is off-limit. I've never spoken about my flirts, I'm not a man for short and superficial love affairs.
'I don't talk about my relationships with female friends, not to mention how I don't talk about my relationship with Kristen Stewart, an actress I admire because she's a real person, and a real actress.'
