Lady Gaga has thrown her toys out of the pram after being hit with a £6million lawsuit for delaying the release of her doll.

The 26-year-old has been accused of putting the toy on hold until her new album and perfume come out next year.

MGA Entertainment claims that Gaga 'engaged in intentional and deliberate delays' when it came to the doll's production.

The manufacturer alleges the singer requested the removal of a voice chip from the doll, making its planned completion date of this Christmas impossible. The quirky toy will reportedly have a detachable head which reveals a bloody stump and a 'supermodel-like' face with a 'sharp jaw-line and cat eyes'.

Gaga's spokeswoman, Amanda Silverman, said the singer would 'vigorously defend' the 'ill-conceived lawsuit', which is being fought between MGA and Bravado – part of the Universal record label.

In addition to the damages, MGA also wants to be able to sell the doll in its current format.
