Kristen Stewart 'did not have sex' with Rupert Sanders, a close friend of the actress has claimed.
The 22-year-old publicly apologised to boyfriend Robert Pattinson last week after 'cheating' on him with the Snow White And The Huntsman director.
But producer Giovanni Agnelli insisted the relationship wasn't sexual when he took to Twitter to defend the starlet, who starred in his 2010 film Welcome To The Rileys.
'I'll say right now what the manipulative media isn't saying... Kristen Stewart did not have any type of sex with Rupert Sanders,' he tweeted yesterday.
'The spin that keeps growing on this story is staggering. There was NO on set affair. Stop printing LIES.'
'If you've ever used the word Trampire you're a mindless pathetic piece of s***,' he added.
Stewart and Pattinson, who met on the set of Twilight, are believed to have moved out of the house they shared in LA following her fling with the 41-year-old director.
And according to reports, the estranged couple are now embroiled in a bitter custody war over their rescue dog, Bear.
Although it's apparently been agreed that Kristen can keep her cat, Max, R-Pattz is determined to keep hold of their canine friend.
An insider told RadarOnline: 'After Rob moved his things out of their Los Angeles apartment, he then told Kristen he wanted Bear.
'She was heartbroken - they adopted Bear together and she always felt that he was their little baby.'
But R-Pattz is reluctant to give the dog up and things are looking as though they could get a little messy.
The source continued: 'Rob was so hurt by Kristen's actions he decided that he wants the dog to help him get over what happened. After all, a dog is a man's best friend and Bear is such a good companion.
'However, Kristen won't give up Bear in a hurry. She helped Rob save Bear from Parvo disease, which nearly took its life when it was a puppy.'
The Twilight co-stars were allegedly looking into homing another rescue before their split.
