Russell Brand has shrugged off his punishment for hurling a snapper's iPhone through a window by describing his penalty as an 'honour'.
The lairy British comedian scoffed after he was slapped with 20 hours of community service by saying it wasn't much of a punishment.
'I don't know what their format of community service is, but community service, that doesn't seem like a punishment. That seems like a duty,' he said.
Happy to play his part, Russ said: 'We are our community. Service is an honour. I'll be happy to do it.'
The 37-year-old dodged a possible jail term after his lawyers cut a deal with prosecutors following his tantrum in New Orleans back in March.
He could still yet be in for a nasty surprise as he hasn't been told exactly what his service will be.
'What will I be doing? I don't know,' he added. 'Tidying up or something probably.'
