Mollie King became the victim of a serious fashion mishap when her designer heels got smothered in grass and mud during a day at the polo.

On first impressions The Saturdays singer looked every inch the style queen in a cream dress with navy detailing and matching cardigan.
But it was her poor choice of footwear that led to her unfortunate demise.
After a day of seeking out divots, the pretty blonde looked as though she had endured a weekend at a mud-strewn festival rather than a sophisticated day out at the polo.

The 25-year-old singer's strappy leather heels sank into the ground as she tottered among fellow celebs at the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Polo Final in west Sussex yesterday.
The singer later uploaded a snap of her ruined stilettos along with the caption: 'Perhaps not the best shoes to have worn to the polo'.

Fortunately, the fashion faux pas didn't put a downer on Mollie's day.
She tweeted afterwards: 'Had THE best time at the Polo today!! Couldn't help but think of the Pretty Woman scene when I was stomping the divots!! Hehe!'
The likes of Katherine Jenkins, Billie Piper and Jodie Kidd were also at the event.
