David Haye's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmate Charlie Brooks is convinced the boxer's naked jungle showers have secured his status as a frontrunner on the show.

Charlie was left flabbergasted when David casually stripped off for a jungle wash.

She exclaimed: 'David went in the nuddie! He just gave everyone a treat with his butt.

'He's just lathering himself up here every day and that's why they are keeping him in here, checking out his ass!'

But although the boxing champ has been flaunting his pert behind and toned abs at every available opportunity, he insists he's just having a thorough wash, not deliberately trying to sway the votes.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, he explained: 'Very rarely do I shower with cameras on me. It has happened from time to time, but you know that's more for private.

'Out here you have cameras on you and it's hard to have a proper wash through swimming trunks and the best way to give the undercarriage a good scrubbing is to get down into the buff.'

Apologising for his exhibitionist behaviour, he added: 'Sorry if I have offended anyone at home with my buttocks but from time to time you have got to have a shower in the buff.'

Afterwards the whole gang got down and dirty for their group bushtucker trial.

David, Charlie, Eric and Ashley each donned capes as they hurried up a hill with four giant stars while water and balls railed down on them.

Having successfully completed the challenge and winning four meals for camp, the last remaining four embraced in a group hug.

After the trial, David talked through his technique and said: 'With the amount of water coming down, I thought run as fast as I can and use the momentum but when the big wave come down.'

Charlie chipped in: 'I saw him out of the corner of my eye he was like superman running up the course.'
