Simon Cowell has insistsed Christopher Maloney will get Sony's backing if he wins The X Factor despite his personal preferences.
The X Factor mastermind made the statement after reports suggested he would cut Maloney loose at the first opportunity.
And although SiCo didn't deny his personal distaste towards Gary Barlow's protégé, he did say he'd be getting behind the show's winner no matter what.
He tweeted: 'On the uk show I do have a favourite but its your vote that determines the winner. Whoever wins will get the backing of Sony.'
But whatever happens, Simon - who is thought to be backing James Arthur for X Factor glory - is convinced next week's final is going to go off with a bang.
He added: 'I do think the us and uk finals are going to be close and that makes it more exciting. Especially if a group wins the us show! '
Meanwhile, Chris revealed last night that he's eyeing a duet with Gary Barlow should he make it through to the grand finale at Wembley next weekend.
However, the camp wannabe told Metro he and the Take That star had not yet discussed their options.
'We're just waiting to see what happens this week,' he added.
Speaking at The X Factor secret gig at the Talk Talk store in London's Soho last night, Union J also revealed they'd be hoping to get their mentor Louis Walsh up on stage if they made it to the final.
Jahmene Douglas revealed he's love to duet with Stevie Wonder on the show and James said he'd like to team up with Busta Rhymes if he escapes elimination this weekend.
The three finalists will solely determined by the public vote this weekend.
