I'm A Celebrity's Ashley Roberts admits Pussycat Dolls split over Nicole Scherzinger rift Nov 29th 2012, 16:41 I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star Ashley Roberts has revealed the Pussycat Dolls split up because the girls were fed up with Nicole Scherzinger hogging the limelight. The pretty blonde made her admission as her fellow campates admired her for doing so well on the show. David was particularly impressed with how well the singer had done considering she had been little known in the UK. David told her: 'For a non British celebrity to go this far seeing how much airtime we've all had. I've been on every single chat show and game show in England at some time or other.' Ashley was a member of the Pussycat Dolls along with Nicole Scherzinger (Picture: PA) Ashley said she has done lots of promo work in the UK with the band but that she was recognised without Nicole and the rest of their bandmates. She added: 'Even in the group I wasn't allowed to talk, we were told to be quiet. Only Nicole was allowed to talk, we would occasionally pitch in.' Shocked, Charlie replied: 'Only Nicole was allowed to talk? Why did they say that then? Did that not drive you nuts?' Ashley answered: 'Are you serious? Why do you think the band broke up? U2 are still together and they split everything down the middle.' X Factor judge Nicole has said previously that she did 95 per cent of the Dolls' vocals (Picture: ITV) David then asked if it wasn't like that for the Pussycat Dolls, to which Ashley replied: 'No.' And although she wasn't the leading lady in the bad, Eric Bristow certainly thinks she's outshone the rest in camp. He said: 'She's done well. I didn't give her a chance when I saw her, I thought she wouldn't last five minutes, goddamit, how wrong was I? I got that one wrong.
