Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson told fans to 'f*** off' after receiving a cold reception at a gig.
The 46-year-old's outburst followed Monday's sold-out gig in Cologne, Germany.
After Manson took to Twitter to describe fans as 'subdued' and 'cold', they hit back demanding an apology. But the singer told them: 'Blow me, you owe ME an apology,' and 'F*** off dude.'
Talking about the gig on Monday, Manson tweeted: 'Koln you were so strangely subdued! Sold out show but so cold? Funny. I know you love us but why couldn't you show it? We still love you.'
One follower wrote back: 'Do you really think it's alright to publicly criticise your fans, who've paid to go to your gig, for not worshiping you enough?'
Another replied: 'I'm sorry Shirley, I own every record you've released & love your music but my estimation of you has hit the floor.'
Luckily, Manson appeared to be in a better mood following the group's following gig in Berlin.
She tweeted after the show last night: 'Oh my GOD Berlin!!! Thankyou SO much! That was so SWEET of you to let us go off like that!!!! So SO generous. We are so lucky. TLF! Sx
She added afterwards: 'So the last euro show of 2012 was AMAZING! My cold didn't extinguish my voice! Well..only slightly. Now it's DOGGIE time. Bless u all. Sx'
The band's Twitter page was recently hacked by someone claiming to be a drunk Manson.
