X Factor star Rylan Clark has admitted he does not believe he is a contender to win this year's series of the show.
The Essex singer has been widely criticised for his vocals, most notably from judge Gary Barlow, but he has so far proved to be a hit with viewers, who have voted him through to the fifth week.
Speaking in a webchat with the Sun, Rylan confessed he does not share the confidence of some of his fans that he could spring a surprise and take the crown.
'I wouldn't put money on it, because you'll probably lose and gambling isn't good for you. But no, I don't think I will win,' he said.
Despite receiving regular criticism from Gary on all of the live shows to date, Rylan said he holds no grudge against the Take That star.
'I think Gary is handsome - and I used to sing Take That in a boyband,' he commented, adding that he would even be prepared to perform a lap dance for the mentor on an upcoming show.
Such a routine was demonstrated by Robbie Williams - in front of Louis Walsh - on last week's results show and Rylan has not ruled out the idea of following suit.
