Axed X Factor star Kye Sones has trashed the show's poor line up for its tumbling viewing figures as he lashes out at 'very tactical' Christopher Maloney for having two personalities.
Turning on his team mate Chris Maloney, the 30-year-old accused Gary Barlow's last jittery hopeful of being two faced and a nightmare behind the scenes.
'I think it's down to the contestants that are on the show,' Sones said after he lost out to marmite act Rylan Clark in a deadlock vote on Sunday night.
'I don't think it's necessarily the format of the show. It's run like an absolute perfect machine so it's down to the people that are on it and I think compared to last year there are some unreal people on it.'
Savaging Maloney, Kye is dismayed at his survival.
'God knows but he must have an expensive phone bill,' he said after the 34-year-old Liverpudlian survived another week.
'You've got Chris who has not been part of the gang at all and that's got nothing to do with the other contestants it's more to do with Chris, he's just been an outsider really but that's nothing to do with us lot. He's very tactical.'
Continuing his attack, Sones said the cheesy eighties-style singer is dragging down Cowell's show.
'There's two different people (with Chris) one when the camera is there and one when the camera isn't there, that's what I'm saying about he's very tactical,' said the dumped hopeful. 'I was trying to make it a cool credible category but he definitely sings songs for the over's category. I was trying to erase the stigma attached to it but it's hard to do that when someone's pulling it the opposite way.'
One person getting off lightly was Clark, the spangly star who has left Sones's mentor raging at his survival.
Defending Clark after losing to him, Sones said: 'Rylan is the same person off the camera as he is on and he's genuine and that's like everyone else and that's the frustrating thing for all of us because everyone is the same, apart from Chris and that's why it's frustrating for all the contestants.'
As for Barlow, the singer said the Take That star is just gutted gimmick is winning over singing talent.
Kye said: 'I think Gary is gutted, he just said he was gutted and it just doesn't make any sense. We got really close me and Gary and really enjoyed working with each other; it's going to be difficult now.'
