Robert Pattinson has apparently been spotted going for a romantic dinner with friend and singer Katy Perry - reported to have split from John Mayer this week.

The Cosmopolis star reportedly met up with the Firework singer for dinner at Soho House restaurant in Los Angeles.
With Perry said to have broken up with Mayer, and R-Patz having relationship problems of his own with Twilight girlfriend Kristen Stewart, the cosy date seems to have come at the right time for the pair.
Katy has been rumoured to be supporting Rob as his romance with Stewart hit quite a rough patch when she cheated on him with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
US showbiz site Perez Hilton reports that Katy and Robert have become close friends since the pop star grew into a pillar of strength for R-Patz, and this meet-up could suggest their friendship is turning into something more.
Perry and Mayer were first romantically linked last month, but a source has confirmed to People magazine that while they are no longer seeing each other, they might plan to stay friends.
R-Patz and Katy have been out on the town before, with the actor and the singer partying with the likes of Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez after the premiere of Perry's film Part Of Me.
