X Factor judge Gary Barlow has admitted he wouldn't have been able to handle the abuse Christopher Maloney has so gracefully.
The Take That star has commended his last remaining act for dealing with death threats in such a positive way.
'I think he's managed it brilliantly,' Gary told The X Factor website. 'If these things were being said about me, I'd be cursing and lashing out.
'I really admire how he's taken the negative things being said about him in his stride. I really respect that,' he added.
And the over 28's mentor said Chris even manages to stay chirpy when the Sunday results show looms.
'Sunday nights are supposed to be full of dread but he springs in and out of my dressing room. I'm so happy to see that he's enjoying himself,' Barlow added.
And Gary is determined to help Chris shed his 'diva' title.
He said: 'I only know what I see. For me, he's really easy to work with. Whenever I'm around him, he's the loveliest, sweetest man ever... he's happy as Larry.'
Elsewhere on the show, it would seem Gary is warming to his X Factor nemesis Rylan Clark.
Probed on what he'd have done different to Nicole Scherzinger, Gary replied: 'If I had to mentor Rylan I'd give him a Belinda Carlisle classic.
'I could just imagine him belting out Heaven Is a Place on Earth. He'd go to town with the hairspray and 80s shoulder-pads. He must do it!'
