Simon Cowell has decided to reveal The X Factor voting figures on the live results shows next as JLS beg the music mogul to return to the show.
SiCo has already implemented the tell-all system on The X Factor USA where is is currently judging America's top singing talent alongside Britney Spears, LA Reid and Demi Lovato.
And it would seem the running leaderboard has been well received as he's planing to roll out the new idea here too.
As Strictly Come Dancing gives this year's series of The X Factor a real run for it's money in the ratings war, Cowell is hoping his innovation will bring the spark back to the show in his absence.
Sunday's results show provoked widespread outrage after Ella Henderson was booted out of the competition while Rylan Clark and Christopher Maloney's X Factor dreams live on.
But the reality TV mastermind is hoping to stamp out 'fix factor' slurs by making the each week's votes transparent.
An insider revealed: 'If the viewers knew popular acts like Ella and James Arthur were pulling in low numbers of votes it would encourage them to pick up the phone.
'Revealing the voting numbers each week has really brought a new dynamic to the US show.
'Simon is looking to introduce it in the UK next year as part of a major shake-up,' the source told The Sun.
Meanwhile, X Factor exports JLS have said Simon Cowell's safe return to the UK is an even better idea.
Describing Cowell as 'the best judge in the world', Marvin Humes said SiCo 'definitely' has to make a comeback.
'He still does Britain's Got Talent. Obviously with the schedule of the US X Factor it's very difficult, but he has to come back,' he told Digital Spy.
He said: 'The show definitely has legs, as long as people enjoy it and want to watch it.
'It's still the most talked-about show on television. It still gives people the opportunity to expose to their talent in ways they wouldn't have had otherwise.
'It's the most auditioned-for competition in the world. and it's the most anticipated television programme of the year.'
And JB couldn't agree more.
He explained: 'I don't think it's on the way out at all. People say, "The winners never do this, the winners never do that". But there are winners who have been successful - and it's not just down to the winners.
'It's a competition, yes, but it's also a way for people to get into the industry - whether you win, or whether you come fifth, or last in the competition.
'You've still achieved something and there's still the scope to do different things. Look at Ray [Quinn] - who came second to Leona [Lewis, in 2006].
He continued: 'He didn't necessarily release an album, but he did loads of musicals and was in the West End and things like that.
'He's not a proven international smash artist or whatever, but he's been a success in terms of career in the entertainment industry.
'I don't think that's going to change. As long as X Factor is running on TV, we'll definitely have success stories from it,' he added.
