The One Thing singers ditched their bandmates Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Niall Horan as they went out and about exploring the capital.
The boys looked relaxed as they trawled the city streets on two wheels with Louis taking the lead up front.
Dressed down in matching black-and-white outfits, the duo still managed to attract their fair share of attention and were later spotted stopping off to meet and greet a gaggle of unsuspecting fans.
It's not the first time these two outdoorsy types have been spotted getting up to mischief without the rest of the gang.
Earlier in the year the pair enjoyed some alone time surfing Down Under.

The band have been roped into a number of photoshoots in the past few days ahead of some 'big news' which is apparently being announced this evening.
Niall tweeted this morning: 'Goodmorning! Today is an exciting day for a couple of reasons! Can't wait!'
And yesterday the Irish teen suggested the big reveal would be of a musical nature.
He teased: 'Guys as you know we've been in studio a lot lately...Big announcement coming Thursday night! Can't wait to tell you all!'
