The 32-year-old returned to her co-host position alongside Olly Murs for this year's series and is clearly chuffed with show boss Simon Cowell's decision to bring in Nicole as the fourth judge.
While Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos resumed their positions as judges on the show, US singer Kelly Rowland missed out on renewing her contract.
After much talk over who would replace Rowland, Cowell eventually decided to move the former Pussycat Dolls singer from her position on The X Factor US to the UK.
'Nicole Scherzinger has joined the judging panel and she's lovely,' Caroline told ITV1's This Morning. 'Despite being this huge, glamorous, international superstar, she's got this lovely down-to-earth personality.'
And after Destiny's Child star Kelly's attempt at replacing Cole last year, it seems the shoes finally fit as Flack compared Nicole to Cheryl.
She continued: 'You connect with her straight away, she's a real girls' girl and she kind of brings the Cheryl-esque empathetic view with the contestants. She lets them down very gently.'
Caroline also addressed one auditionee's controversial performance which saw her throwing a tantrum on stage.
Contestant Zoe Alexander stood infront of the judges trying to wow them with her vocals but when they criticised her voice, she flew off the handle.
Caroline explained she was left bewildered by her reaction as she insisted no contestants are forced to sing any song if they don't wish.
'It's odd because I spoke to her about two minutes before she went on stage and she was very happy singing a Pink song.
'I can confirm you do get given five song options to sing - no one tells you what to sing.
'She gave the second song and she obviously didn't cut it. People get knocked back all the time and you don't react like that.'
