Reese Witherspoon and her eight-month-old baby will be 'just fine' despite the actress being forced to make a quick dash to the hospital over fears of a premature birth.
The expectant mum and her hubby Jim Toth descended on an LA hospital after 'complications' with her pregnancy yesterday morning.
The 36-year-old actress is not due to give birth until the beginning of September but it looks as though her baby could well be on its way a little earlier than expected.
'At this point it looks like she might have the baby,' an insider said.
'Reese and Jim are a little worried about having the baby so early, but it's close enough to her due date that they're confident the baby will be just fine.'
Doctors are reportedly planning to keep the Water For Elephants star in for the next few nights and want to prevent a premature birth if possible.
'Doctors are keen on keeping her from going into an early labour so the baby's development will go to full term,' the source continued.
This will be the first child for Jim, who has vowed to be at his wife's beck and call.
The source added to RadarOnline: 'Jim is really worried about the baby. He's a first-time father so this is all really new to him and he just wants everything to be okay.
'He's a bundle of nerves.'
Reese, who has two children - Ava, 13, and nine-year-old Deacon - with Ryan Phillippe, is said to be much more relaxed about the whole thing.
