TOWIE star Mario Falcone has been cautioned after he assaulted an 11-year-old boy who was hurling abuse at his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh over her secret tryst with Mark Wright.
The reality star kicked off at a group of kids hanging around the couple's Essex home after they started shouting abuse at the pretty brunette.
The 24-year-old tailor grappled with one of the boys and was arrested the following day on August 11 after the 11-year-old told his mum what had happened.
A source told the Daily Mirror: 'Mario and Lucy were leaving their house when some comments were made about Lucy by a group of youths nearby who were making references to her ex Mark Wright.
'In the heat of the moment, Mario stormed over and grabbed one of them by the collar. It was a really stupid thing to do.
'The boy, who was 11 but looked older, went home and told his mum what had happened and she called the police.
'Mario was arrested the following day.'
Ashamed of his behaviour, Mario has since apologised to the boy and his family.
Mario's spokesman said: 'Although both he and Lucy were the subject of some very hostile and confrontational provocation from a group of males Mario deeply regrets reacting in the way he did.
'He has already apologised to the boy and his family and offered to meet with them.'
The TV stars ventured out of their Essex comfort zone to celebrate Lucy's 21st birthday at Drayton Manor theme park in Staffordshire yesterday.
