Adele is reportedly due to give birth in two months' time, meaning the singer was seven months pregnant when she went public with the news.
The Someone Like You singer revealed that she was expecting her first baby with boyfriend Simon Konecki on June 30th.
However, according to Heat magazine, the singer is due to give birth in only two months time, meaning she was already six months pregnant when she went public.
A source told the publication: 'Adele has barely left the house in recent months, so she could keep this to herself for as long as possible.
'She stopped exercising a few months ago, and since then it's been all about the baby.'
In hindsight the claims seem to add up, as she didn't fly to the US for the Billboard Awards in May, despite winning 12 gongs.
Adele also picked up an accolade at the Ivor Novello Awards a week later wearing a very loose fitting black dress and refused to pose for photos or speak to any press afterwards.
The London crooner officially announced her pregnancy on her website back in June, saying: 'I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.'
She added: 'I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon,' although didn't mention how far gone she was at this point.
