A grief-stricken Sylvester Stallone has been joined by mourners at the funeral of his eldest son Sage, who died of a suspected drugs overdose at the age of 36 last week.
Sage's funeral, which was held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Brentwood, Los Angeles, was also attended by Sylvester's ex-wife and Sage's mother Sasha Czack.
Dressed in a black suit, white shirt and a black tie, Stallone hid his eyes with a pair of sunglasses, but looked grief-stricken as he spoke to fellow mourners.
Earlier this week, Sylvester released a statement expressing his loss, saying: 'When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain... This agonising loss will be felt for the rest of our lives.
'Sage was our first child and the centre of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory in full left in peace.'
The 36-year-old was found dead in his home last week, surrounded by bottles of pills, according to the LA County Coroner. Toxicology results are expected within four to six weeks.
A source told RadarOnline.com earlier this week: 'Sage will be buried on Saturday. His body was picked up from the coroner by a mortuary that is based in Westwood earlier this week.
'The funeral will be private and it will be family and friends only and will be celebration of his life.'
