The couple's relationship caused mass controversy after Chris was convicted for assaulting the singer back in 2009; however it seems that she's put the past behind her by arranging a secret rendezvous under the cover of darkness.
Chris reportedly flew by private jet to Nice, then took a helicopter down the French Riviera to Saint-Tropez where he boarded a multi-million pound yacht for a week.
The 23-year-old Grammy winner is reported to have flown out to see Rihanna when he discovered that she was holidaying with love rival and fellow rapper, Drake.
A source told The Sun: 'Chris is staying on the yacht next to Rihanna's. He's got rappers Swizz Beatz and Ludacris with him and they've decided to film a music video too.
'It was a last-minute trip, but Chris wanted to see Rihanna. They have this weird addiction to each other and can't seem to stay away.'
After arriving the pair reportedly spent a romantic evening together, with the source revealing that she was 'really happy when he arrived', spending 'all evening' getting ready to see him before sneaking out under the cover of darkness.
'She went to his yacht, which they moved to a secluded bay. They've been through a lot, but still have strong feelings for each other,' the source added.
Rihanna and Chris' meeting will no doubt spark controversy with anti-domestic violence groups after the very public end to their relationship, which saw RiRi reveal pictures of her battered face.
