The advert for Lady Gaga's new fragrance, Lady Gaga Fame: Black Fluid, appears to have been inspired by Gulliver's Travels.
The image, which was shot by Steven Klein, shows Gaga reclining naked wearing just a black eye mask. A number of tiny men are depicted climbing over her body, protecting her modesty, with a bottle of perfume in her outstretched hand.
Gaga opted to showcase the image to her Twitter followers, posting the picture with a message reading: 'I won't lie I'm a bit nervous.
'It's been a while since I've shared some work with you.
'But I'm so proud of Steven + I, we really did not sleep!'
Fame: Black Fluid is thought to be the first ever black perfume and Lady Gaga has said that it is black 'like the soul of fame'.
The scent, which was created in collaboration with Coty, smells of 'tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverised apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops'.
Gaga collaborated on the bottle, which is shaped like an egg with a gold, claw-style cap, with fashion image-maker Nick Knight.
A source told the Telegraph that the design is linked to her famed Grammy Awards performance which saw her coming out of an egg.
The perfume will be launched in the US in September.
