It has been claimed that law enforcement sources have revealed authorities investigating the tragic death of Sylvester Stallone's son now believe he was a drug dealer.

It has previously been reported that 36-year-old Sage may have died from an overdose, forcing father Sly to beg the speculation to stop.

But now TMZ are reporting that a 'likely scenario' is that Sage was dealing the drug Hydrocodone, also known as Vicodin.

Suspicions he wasn't an addict were raised over the star's weight.

TMZ was reportedly told: 'He was pudgy, and drug addicts are almost always rail thin.'

The source goes on to claim that while no Vicodin pills were found in his Los Angeles home, 60 large empty prescription bottles, that are able to hold 500 pills, were.

It is believed batch numbers and serial numbers will now be used to track down the bottles.

Meanwhile, Stephen Wozniak, a friend of Sage's, has moved to insist his pal definitely did not commit suicide.

Speaking to TMZ, he said: 'It was absolutely not suicide.

'I'm certain that this really horrible thing that happened was an accident. It could have been anything - but nothing like suicide. I knew him pretty well.

'I spoke to him a few weeks ago. We talked about resurrecting a film we worked on, other projects, talked about his girlfriend and time they'd spent together. We talked about my wedding and he seemed to be thinking about it.'

Sage was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Friday last week.
