Caroline Flack has alerted the police to a Twitter picture that was sent to her showing a girl holding up a knife.
Flack tweeted the Met Police via the social networking site, along with the caption 'Acceptable tweet?'
The snap shows a wide-eyed girl in a patterned top looking into the camera while holding up a knife.
Reports have surfaced that Caroline was recently targeted by a stalker who tracked her status updates on Twitter so they could find out where she would be, and then afterwards showed up to that location unannounced.
Her supposed fan, who was apparently following her for months, was later arrested, leaving the Xtra Factor host 'relieved'.
The brunette is said to have been pursued by the mysterious man who turned up at her place of work with gifts, and constantly attempted to touch her.
The Sun reports the stalker is currently on bail awaiting further questioning.
A source told the newspaper: 'It's been a pretty stressful past few weeks for Caroline.
'But now the police are involved, she hopes the matter will soon be resolved and she can move on with her life.'
Reports say Flack's first encounter with the stalker was when he turned up at the X Factor auditions in Manchester after sending her a series of letters.
Caroline didn't let the unnerving Twitter snap bother her though, as she soon went on to tweet excitedly about shooting the new series of The Xtra Factor, adding: 'Girls are smashing it at bootcamp'.
She then posted a jolly picture of herself with former Westlife member Kian Egan, who is co-hosting The Xtra Factor with her.
