Katie Holmes was all smiles when she was reunited with Suri Cruise, as it is revealed the actress is making a return to Broadway.

The six-year-old had spent a couple of quality days with her Hollywood actor dad in New York City earlier this week.
After it was announced Cruise and Holmes were to divorce, a swift hearing saw Katie win majority custody of the celebrity child.
But yesterday she was back in her doting mum's arms after Tom's security and assistants team dropped her off at Chelsea Piers for an exercise class.

It seems Katie's days without having Suri to look after were rather productive as it has just emerged that the actress is throwing herself back into work in the wake of her divorce from Cruise after landing a role in Broadway play Dead Accounts.
She is set to play the character Lorna in the new comedy, starring alongside just four other cast members.
Dead Accounts will hit Broadway in Autumn. She previously trod the Broadway planks in 2008 in Arthur Miller's production of All My Sons.

With new work under her belt, it's no surprise Katie couldn't hide her grin as she made her way to pick up her little girl, who is the spitting image of her mum, from the Chelsea Piers gym.
Katie, dressed casually in jeans and a dark green shirt, was spotted making her way to the venue yesterday, smiling for photographers at the prospect of seeing Suri again.
And it's understandable she looked relaxed as there was no risk of running into Tom at the centre, where Suri takes many classes, given that her daughter was dropped off by Cruise's security team.

After Katie watched some of her little girl's classes, Suri was seen leaving Chelsea Piers under the cover of night before climbing straight into a waiting vehicle.
The Batman Begins actress was seen following right behind Suri as they then made their way home.
After Katie announced she was divorcing Cruise last month, Suri has been spotted spending a lot of time with her mum out-and-about in New York City, where the pair are living.

As well as nighttime visits to ice-cream parlours, they've also been seen visiting pet shops and going for walks in the city.
On Tuesday, Tom collected Suri in New York City and got to spend time with his little girl after filming commenced on his new film Oblivion.
Tom was clearly ecstatic to have Suri back in his arms, clutching onto her tightly as she hugged her dad before they boarded a helicopter.

The pair spent some quality time together in the Hamptons before he whisked her back to New York City yesterday where she was then reunited with Katie.
This comes as the Top Gun actor's unwavering smile was been wiped off his face when it was claimed Suri felt 'abandoned' by her pop.
Hitting back with both barrels, the 50-year-old's legal muscle, Bert Fields, said the actor's accusers clearly missed happy snaps of the star treating Suri, six, to a luxury helicopter ride over the Big Apple this week.

'That, as anyone knows who saw their photos together yesterday and today, is a disgusting, vicious lie,' Fields said earlier this week.
'He's with Suri right now and he was with her the day before Life & Style trumpeted their cruelly false accusation. Tom dearly loves Suri and the last thing he would do is abandon her.'
