Katy Perry is seen sobbing in emotional scenes in her new Part Of Me film as she opens the doors to fans in the period following her divorce from Russell Brand.
After Russell filed for divorce in December last year, Katy Perry was left to pick up the pieces of her marriage whilst on tour.
She had to put her emotions to one side to perform in front of audiences of thousands for her California Dreams tour in 2011.
But in her new documentary film Part Of Me, Katy's vulnerable side is shown as she lets the cameras roll while she breaks down in tears at her crumbling relationship.
At the start of the documentary, their marriage appears to be intact but as the film goes on, cracks start appearing.
At one point, while jetting from country to country, Katy is seen slouched on a plane seat asking a member of her team when her next break in the tour is.
She was planning to see her husband - the film shows Katy often goes out of her way to see him - but when she is told it wouldn't be for 18 days, she was noticeably disappointed, the Daily Mail report.
Another clip shows Katy hunched over sobbing backstage at one of her gigs in Brazil.
One of her entourage tries to comfort her but she quickly manages to pull herself together and lets the show go on.
Katy's fears are really highlighted in another shot when one of her aides asks her if Russell is visiting. She angrily responds: 'He should but he's not,' before adding: 'I'm fighting to keep my marriage alive.'
The film doesn't just show issues surrounding their relationship being down to the distance between them.
Their views on children also differ with Russell apparently being ready to start a family but Katy is not.
She even says in the clip: 'A baby can't have her baby.'
The news of Russell filing for divorce came while Katy was on her world tour.
In a recent interview with Australian TV show Sunday Night, Katy revealed that though her marriage failing was hard, it was a valuable life lesson.
'There's nothing I regret because you can't buy a lesson and they are so valuable,' the 27-year-old said.
