Gary Barlow's inner hulk erupted during a backstage bust-up after he stormed off the live show after Sunday's controversial vote-off, when he reportedly 'shoved' a camera out of his way.
Barlow 'shoved' the camera, which was trying to film his rage, a source said.
The Take That singer's meltdown came after Louis Walsh took the eviction to deadlock, meaning Gary's act Carolynne Poole lost out to Rylan Clark.
A backstage source revealed: 'Gary stormed straight to his dressing room and wouldn't talk to anyone.
'He was yelling Louis' decision was a "f***ing joke". He shoved a camera out the way.'
The star is refusing to speak to Walsh. The Irishman flip-flopped on live TV between Rylan and Carolynne after a producer was seen whispering in his ear. Barlow, 41, managed to simmer down enough to appear on the Xtra Factor for a face-off with Walsh.
Barlow moaned: 'I don't get that; I said to him (Louis), "Why send it to deadlock?" It's ridiculous.
'We always try and judge it on the last performance, that's the idea, how can you compare those performances?
'He (Rylan) clearly entertains some people. Let me tell you one thing, those kind of acts... they're not for me. When I came to do this job I wanted to be the one to find great talent and bring on the young singers.'
Walsh, 60, later hit back: 'I couldn't make up my mind. I decided the fairest thing to do was to go to the public vote. It was the fairest option.'
Show bosses tried to dismantle claims of a 'fix' after a producer was spotted whispering to Walsh before voting.
An ITV statement read: 'Carolynne had the least amount of public votes so the public's choice to stay was Rylan.'
It went on: 'Producers always chat to judges during the show.'
