X Factor star Rylan Clark has rubbished claims Lucy Spraggan may quit the show over a dispute with bosses, who are reportedly trying to make her sing cover versions.
The 24-year-old told Metro: 'To be fair, I think that's just hearsay. We have a major creative input in what we sing and what we don't sing.'
After Spraggan missed last week's shows, Clark confirmed that his fellow hopeful 'is genuinely really, really ill at the moment,' but is hopeful that she will take part in the live shows this weekend.
'I've been at home looking after her. She's on medication at the moment and we'll just have to wait and see.'
Earlier this week, X Factor bosses were keen to dismiss speculation over the 21-year-old's happiness and insisted: 'She is very happy show-wise.'
Meanwhile, Rylan is preparing for his inevitable showdown with Gary Barlow on Saturday night.
'I like the banter I've got with Gary. I look forward to it as much as I think everyone else does,' he added.
